Where the present general regulations so provide, decisions to award financial assistance are taken by the Chairman of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée after obtaining the opinion of consultative committees set up within the institution pursuant to article R. 112-4 (5°) of the Code du cinéma et de l’image animée.The commissions make their decisions, where appropriate, after consulting reading committees or individual readers.

In accordance with the Article L. 311-3 of the Code du cinéma et de l’image animée, the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée ensures that beneficiaries of financial aid comply with their social obligations.In the event of non-compliance with these obligations, the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée may refuse to grant the aid applied for or withdraw aid unduly granted.
