Notwithstanding the provisions of article L. 4311-2, the representative of the State in the territorial collectivity of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon may authorise, by order, a nurse who does not meet the conditions laid down in article L. 4311-2 to practise in the territorial collectivity.

Where it is available, the certified information referred to in Article L. 4311-15-1 serves as supporting documents for the fulfilment of the obligations set out in Article L. 4311-15.

The Departmental Council of the College of Nurses shall refuse registration on the roll of the College if the applicant does not meet the conditions of competence, good character and independence required to practise the profession, if he/she is temporarily or permanently banned from practising the profession in France or abroad, or if he/she has been suspended pursuant to article L. 4311-26.

Nurses applying to be entered on the roll must have the language skills required to practise the profession and knowledge of the systems of weights and measures used in France. The language proficiency test must be proportionate to the activity to be carried out and must be carried out once the professional qualification has been recognised.

If it appears that the applicant is suffering from an infirmity or is in a pathological state that makes it dangerous to practise his profession, the departmental council of the order of nurses will refuse to register the applicant.
