Article 218 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The provisions of articles 171,172 and of the last paragraph of Article 174 shall apply to this chapter.

The regularity of the judgments of the investigating chambers and the regularity of the previous proceedings, when this chamber has ruled on the settlement of proceedings, is subject to the sole review of the Cour de cassation, whether the appeal is immediately admissible or whether it can only be examined with the judgment on the merits.

Les dispositions des articles 171,172 et du dernier alinéa de l’article 174 sont applicables au présent chapitre.

La régularité des arrêts des chambres de l’instruction et celle de la procédure antérieure, lorsque cette chambre a statué sur le règlement d’une procédure, relève du seul contrôle de la Cour de cassation, que le pourvoi soit immédiatement recevable ou qu’il ne puisse être examiné qu’avec l’arrêt sur le fond.
