In the event of imminent danger to the patient’s health or to the safety of persons, as attested by a medical opinion, the higher administrator of the Wallis and Futuna Islands shall take all provisional measures necessary for the supervision of a person whose behaviour reveals manifest mental disorder with a view to his/her possible transfer to an establishment located in New Caledonia or French Polynesia and authorised to treat…

The medical transfer shall be carried out at the expense of the administration by means of either a ship of the national navy, or a ship or aircraft chartered by the senior administrator. The latter shall take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the mentally disordered person, other persons and property during the transfer.

Before the person concerned arrives on the territory of the host collectivity, the senior administrator shall send the transfer order and the medical and administrative documents mentioned in article L. 3824-1 to the High Commissioner of the Republic in New Caledonia or French Polynesia.

I.-In the event that the medical transfer order has been issued on the basis of I of article L. 3824-1, the High Commissioner will, upon arrival in the territory of the host community, transfer the person concerned to an establishment authorised to treat people suffering from mental disorders and the procedure for admission to psychiatric care at the request of a third party or in the event of imminent danger…
