Operators use collective water misting systems that are adapted so as not to contaminate the water misted and not to disrupt the operation of the water distribution network to which it is connected, particularly in the event of water flowing back from the collective water misting system into the water distribution network.
I. – Collective water misting systems are supplied directly with water from a water distribution network intended for human consumption which has not undergone any heat treatment. I. – Collective water misting systems must be permanently connected to the water distribution network that supplies them. II. – If a permanent connection is not possible, the systems must be equipped with a water storage tank designed and operated in accordance with the conditions laid down by the order of the Minister for Health referred to in article R. 1335-20.

As part of his supervisory duties, the Director General of the Regional Health Agency may check that the provisions of subsection 1 are being implemented, and may ask the operator to provide evidence that these provisions are being complied with.
