The weighted duration is set for each genre of audiovisual work. It may give rise, depending on the case, to bonuses or increases depending in particular on the conditions under which the works were made, their intended purpose and their broadcasting conditions, in accordance with the conditions laid down in Articles 311-43 to 311-49.
For each reference work, the sum representing the automatic financial assistance calculated is obtained by multiplying the value of the minute point by its weighted duration.
When two works are made simultaneously from common artistic and technical elements, one intended for first showing in cinemas, the other, longer, intended for first showing on a television service or for making available to the public on an on-demand audiovisual media service, only the difference in duration between these two works is taken into account for the calculation.
When a reference work is made up of pre-existing audiovisual documents, the amounts are calculated according to, in particular, the nature and duration of these documents and the extent and duration of the related rights.
