Members of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council may receive an allowance for each day they attend Council meetings. They are also entitled to the reimbursement of expenses that may result from the exercise of special mandates entrusted to them by their council. The procedures for the application of this article are laid down by deliberation of the territorial council.
The local authority shall bear the cost of the harmful consequences resulting from accidents suffered by the chairman of the economic, social and cultural council in the performance of his duties. Members of the economic, social and cultural council benefit from the same provisions when they are the victims of accidents occurring either during meetings of the council to which they belong, or during the performance of a special mandate.
The employer is obliged to allow any employee of his company who is a member of the economic, social and cultural council the time required to exercise his mandate under the same terms and conditions as those laid down for territorial councillors.
