A pharmacist whose right to practise is suspended pursuant to article L. 4221-18 may be assisted by one or more persons of his choice when he is heard by the administrative authority that imposed the suspension.

When the pharmacist suspended in application of article L. 4221-18 works in one or more health establishments, the administrative authority which pronounced the suspension immediately informs of its decision the person in charge of the establishment or establishments where the person concerned works and, in the case of public sector employees, the appointing authority where this is different from the person in charge.

If the pharmacist suspended in application of article L. 4221-18 is a civil servant, the hierarchical authority shall maintain his salary, residence allowance, family salary supplement and compulsory family benefits and, if he is not a civil servant, his monthly emoluments.
