Chapter V: Combating the international spread of diseases

The regional health agency immediately forwards reports of serious, unexpected or unusual health events that meet one of the following criteria to the national focal point for the Minister for Health: 1° An event in which the number of cases or deaths is high for the place, period or population in question; 2° An event that could have major repercussions for public health; 3° An event caused by an unknown…

Operators of means of transport and persons working at a point of entry and appearing on the list mentioned in article R. 3115-8 are required to report to the regional health agency, via the coordinator of the point of entry designated in article R. 3115-8, any event likely to encourage the international spread of disease.

The national focal point is responsible for transmitting the necessary information to the World Health Organisation.
