The mayor may, by reasoned order, prohibit access to certain roads or sections of roads for vehicles transporting hazardous materials covered by Council Directive 82/501 of 24 June 1982 on the major accident hazards of certain industrial activities and likely to compromise public safety.

The mayor may, in return for payment of a fee set by a duly established tariff, grant permits for temporary parking or storage on the public highway and other public places, provided that such authorisation does not hinder traffic or the freedom of commerce.
