Notwithstanding articles L. 1121-2 and L. 1121-3 of the General Code on the Ownership of Public Persons, gifts and legacies made to public health institutions are freely accepted or refused by the Director.

Public health establishments may always exercise their rights of recourse, where applicable, against hospitalised patients, their debtors and the persons designated by articles 205, 206, 207 and 212 of the Civil Code. These appeals fall within the jurisdiction of the family court.
