Title IV: ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES AND DATA PROCESSING

Reasons must be given for any decision to refuse registration, to withdraw or to strike off the list taken on the basis of article R. 141-7, R. 141-8 or R. 141-9. Except in cases where they are made at the request of the interested party, the latter is given the opportunity to present his observations. The interested party is notified of the decision.

When they are initially registered on the list or re-registered after being struck off, interpreter-translators registered pursuant to articles R. 141-3 and R. 141-4 take an oath before the judicial court of the place of registration, using the following formula: “I swear to carry out my assignment to the best of my honour and conscience and not to reveal or use anything that comes to my knowledge on this occasion”.

The administrative authority competent to approve an interpreting and translation body pursuant to the second paragraph of Article L. 141-3 is the Minister responsible for immigration.
