Chapter I: Physiotherapists

The councils of the order are elected for a six-year term by direct suffrage in a single-round majority binominal election, half of which is renewed every three years. Subject to the provisions of article L. 4124-6 of the Public Health Code and article L. 145-5-3 of the Social Security Code, only masseur-physiotherapists who have been registered with the Order for at least three years are eligible for election to the Councils and Disciplinary Chambers of the Order.

The procedures for awarding the allowances referred to in the second and third paragraphs of article L. 4125-3-1 are those provided for in articles D. 4125-33 and D. 4125-34, subject to the following amendment: The reference: “L. 4122-2″ is replaced by the reference: ” L. 4321-16 “.

Votes may be cast by post or electronically. Electronic voting excludes all other voting methods. The electoral regulations set out the conditions under which masseur-physiotherapists who are not equipped for electronic voting may take part in the ballot.

The use of electronic Internet voting is organised in compliance with the fundamental principles governing electoral operations, access to the vote for all voters, the secrecy of the ballot, the free and anonymous personal nature of the vote, the integrity of the votes cast, effective monitoring of the ballot and a posteriori control by the election judge.
