When two companies are responsible for the distribution of the same film, the sums are entered in the automatic cinema distribution account of only one of these companies in consideration of the specific stipulations of the co-distribution contract.
For programmes consisting of cinematographic works fixed on 70 mm film as defined in article D. 210-1 du code du cinéma et de l’image animée, the sums are entered in proportion to the duration of each of these works.
The sums entered in the automatic cinema distribution account may be invested with a view to contributing, through the payment of advances, to the financing of the production of long-term cinematographic works for which investment approval has been granted. Direct allocations are granted in addition to the sums invested by distribution companies under article 222-7 when the following conditions are met: 1° The cinematographic works are French-initiated; 2° The cinematographic works have a production cost of less than €8,000,000.
