BOOK IX: Overseas provisions.

In Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, a Chamber of Agriculture, Commerce, Industry, Trades and Crafts, a public establishment, is the body representing the agricultural, commercial, industrial and craft interests of its constituency to the public authorities. It exercises the powers devolved to the departmental chambers of agriculture, the territorial chambers of commerce and industry and the chambers of trades and crafts by the legislation in force.

I.-The provisions relating to professional categories and sub-categories set out in Section 3 of Chapter III of Title I of Book VII do not apply. In legislative texts applicable to Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, references to departmental chambers of agriculture, territorial chambers of commerce and industry, including when they are qualified as establishments of the network of chambers of commerce and industry, chambers of trades and crafts and consular chambers shall be understood as references to the chamber of agriculture, commerce, industry, trades and crafts.

The Chamber of Agriculture, Commerce, Industry, Trades and Crafts recruits and manages private-law staff and public-law staff, including those subject to the status provided for by loi n° 52-1311 du 10 décembre 1952 relative à l’établissement obligatoire d’un statut du personnel administratif des chambres d’agriculture, des chambres de commerce et des chambres de métiers.

The assembly of the chamber of agriculture, commerce, industry, trades and crafts elects its chairman from among its members.

For the application of article L. 712-2, the words: “of the network by means of taxes of all kinds allocated to the regional chambers of commerce and industry” are replaced by the words: “of the chamber of agriculture, commerce, industry, trades and crafts as stated in the provisions of the tax code applicable in the local authority”.

For the application of Article L. 712-7, the words: “, in particular those mentioned in 2° of Article L. 711-8,” are deleted.
