Book V: Mayotte, Wallis and Futuna Islands and French Southern and Antarctic Territories, New Caledonia and French Polynesia

The provisions of Title I of Book II of this Part are applicable in the territory of the Wallis and Futuna Islands. Articles L. 1211-2, L. 1211-3 with the exception of its second paragraph, L. 1211-6-1 and L. 1211-8 are applicable there in their wording resulting from law no. 2021-1017 of 2 August 2021.

Article L. 1220-1 and Chapter I of Title II of Book II of this Part in the version resulting from Order No. 2017-51 of 19 January 2017, with the exception of Articles L. 1221-2 and L. 1221-9, are applicable to Wallis and Futuna, subject to the adaptations provided for in this Chapter. In the event of a life-threatening emergency and notwithstanding the last paragraph of article L. 1221-4, the conditions for application of the first paragraph of article L. 1221-4 may be defined by the senior administrator of the territory of the Wallis and Futuna Islands.

Only the Wallis and Futuna Health Agency may be authorised to carry out operations involving the collection of blood or its components, the biological qualification of donations, and the preparation, distribution and issue of labile blood products under the conditions laid down in Chapter I of Title II of Book II of this Part. Authorisation is granted by the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé.
