TITLE II: BODIES OF THE TERRITORIAL COLLECTIVITY OF FRENCH GUYANA

In the event of a vacancy in the seat of a member of the standing committee other than the president, the assembly of French Guyana may decide to complete the standing committee. The powers of the standing committee shall expire at the opening of the first meeting following the renewal of the Assembly of French Guyana provided for in article L. 7122-8.

The election of the members of the standing committee may be contested under the conditions, in the forms and within the time limits prescribed for contesting the election of councillors to the Assembly of French Guyana.

The vice-presidents and members of the standing committee exercise the powers devolved respectively to the vice-presidents and members of the standing committees of the General Council and Regional Council by the laws and regulations in force insofar as they are not contrary to the provisions of this part.

The standing committee may not deliberate unless an absolute majority of its members are present or represented. The last two paragraphs of Article L. 7122-14 are applicable to the Standing Committee.
