Title I: Profession of nurse

The territorial areas of the regional councils correspond to the boundaries of the administrative regions. An order issued by the Minister of Health, after consultation with the Conseil national de l’ordre, may create inter-regional councils formed by grouping together several regional councils.

The date of the elections to the regional and inter-regional councils of the College of Nurses is set by the National Council. Elections for members of the regional councils take place under the conditions laid down in articles R. 4311-57-1 to R. 4311-64 and in accordance with the procedures set out in the electoral regulations drawn up by the National Council of the Order of Nurses.

The Regional Council elects from among its members the members who make up the restricted panel called upon to deliberate under the conditions provided for in the third paragraph of I of article L. 4312-5. This panel is made up of between seven and fifteen elected members and can only sit validly if five of its members are present.
