Title I: Enforcement of criminal sentences

The arrangements for applying the provisions of Article 706-22-1 giving concurrent or exclusive jurisdiction to the Sentence Enforcement Judge of the Paris Judicial Court, the Paris Sentence Enforcement Court and the Paris Sentence Enforcement Chamber to take decisions concerning persons convicted of an offence falling within the scope of Article 706-16 are specified by the provisions of this section.

The requests of the sentenced person provided for by article D. 49-11 shall be addressed, in accordance with the provisions of this article, to the territorially competent sentence enforcement judge pursuant to article 712-10, who forwards them with his opinion, that of the public prosecutor and that of the prison administration representative, to the sentence enforcement judge of the Paris judicial court. The sentenced person’s individual file provided for by Article D. 49-29 is kept by the registry of the Paris enforcement judge. A copy of all or part of this file is kept by the registry of the competent sentence enforcement judge pursuant to article 712-10.

In urgent cases, the Paris enforcement judge may rule without the opinion of the competent enforcement judge pursuant to article 712-10.
