The Orientation Council proposes to the National Council a directory of training courses related to the exercise of the mandate of local elected representatives. This directory determines the scope of the training courses that are particularly suited to the mandate. It specifies the educational areas covered and the skills to which the training courses should contribute.
The Orientation Council may formulate any proposal with a view to improving the quality of training related to the exercise of local mandates and their evaluation, on its own initiative, or at the request of the National Council or the Minister responsible for local authorities.
