Pharmacists must refrain from organising or participating in events relating to pharmacy or medical biology which do not meet scientific, technical or teaching objectives and which would provide them with material benefits, unless these are negligible.
Agreements relating to the payment of copyright or inventor’s rights are authorised. Subject to the provisions of article R. 4235-26, pharmacists may receive royalties for their contribution to the invention, study or development of medicinal products, medical devices, laboratory apparatus, techniques or methods. For such inventions, studies or developments, they may pay agreed royalties to persons to whom they are linked by contract or agreement.
Any information or advertising, where authorised, must be truthful, fair and formulated with tact and moderation.
Pharmacists must maintain good relations with members of the medical profession, members of other health professions and veterinary surgeons and respect their professional independence.
The citation of scientific work in a publication, whatever its nature, must be faithful and scrupulously loyal.
Pharmacists must refrain from any action that might harm the practitioners mentioned in article R. 4235-31 in relation to their customers.
All pharmacists registered with the Order owe each other mutual help and assistance in the performance of their professional duties. In all circumstances, they must show loyalty and solidarity towards each other.
Pharmacists must treat the pharmacists under their authority as colleagues and must not interfere with the exercise of their professional mandates.
Pharmacists are prohibited from encouraging any colleague to terminate his or her employment contract.
A pharmacist who, either during or after his studies, has replaced, assisted or seconded one of his colleagues for a period of at least six consecutive months may not, at the end of this period and for a period of two years, undertake the operation of a pharmacy or a medical biology analysis laboratory where his presence would enable him to compete directly with the colleague who has been replaced,…
