BOOK I: TERRITORIAL AUTHORITY OF GUYANA

The representative of the State in the territorial collectivity shall be responsible for national interests, compliance with the law and, under the conditions laid down by this code, administrative control. Under the conditions laid down by this code, he shall ensure that the authorities of the territorial collectivity of French Guiana exercise their powers in a regular manner.

The representative of the State in the territorial collectivity alone is authorised to speak on behalf of the State before the assembly of French Guiana.
