It is compulsory for all minors to wear a helmet that complies with current standards, with the exception of aerobatics or when on foot.
Where helmets or protective waistcoats are hired or made available to riders, they must be kept clean and in good condition.
The overall design of the equipment, premises, stables, riding arenas, training tracks and outdoor installations, meadows, paddocks, internal circulation routes and access to the outside of the establishment must be compatible with the nature of the equestrian activity practised and the safety of riders, equidae and third parties. These installations must be maintained in good condition.
Fences and boot guards must be continuous, smooth and designed to prevent accidents to riders and maintained in good condition.
During public opening hours, access to storage areas for equipment, tools and products used to maintain the facilities, forage and manure, and veterinary products must be secured and suitably signposted to ensure the safety of people.
Permanent establishments or temporary facilities where shooting with hunting weapons is practised constitute establishments for physical or sporting activities within the meaning of article L. 322-2.
The operator must draw up a plan showing the location chosen, the dates of use and a sketch showing the position of the launchers, the direction of firing, the access roads, the protection provided and the area reserved for the public.
