CHAPTER IV: Fire and rescue services

The resources of the public establishment include: 1° Subscriptions from member local authorities and public establishments. The director of the public institution is appointed by the chairman of the board of directors.

Under the authority of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Director of the public institution is responsible for the administrative and financial management of the institution. He may receive delegated signing authority from the Chairman.

The staff of this establishment are governed by the provisions of loi n° 84-53 du 26 janvier 1984 portant dispositions statutaires relatives à la fonction publique territoriale.

People employed by an association, created before the date of promulgation of the loi n° 2004-811 du 13 août 2004de modernisation de la sécurité civile, whose dissolution results from the full transfer of its object and correlative resources to the public establishment may, if they are recruited by the latter, benefit from the provisions of article L. 1224-3 of the French Labour Code.

Detailed rules for the application of the provisions of this section shall be determined, where necessary, by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.
