Chapter III: The personal training account

The request for support of a professional transition project is sent by the employee to the regional inter-professional joint committee responsible for his main place of residence or to the committee responsible for his place of work, after he has obtained his employer’s agreement to benefit from the professional transition leave. The employee may not simultaneously submit several applications for a professional transition project.

If the employee has a fixed-term contract, he may apply to the relevant regional inter-professional joint committee for a vocational transition project during the term of his employment contract. The employer’s prior agreement is required if the employee wishes to take all or part of the corresponding training course during working hours.

The employee referred to in article R. 6323-9-1 who meets one of the seniority conditions provided for in this article may submit a request to the competent regional inter-professional joint committee for the funding of a professional transition project no later than four months after the end of his last employment contract or assignment contract, provided that the training action begins no later than six months after this end.

Requests to cover the cost of a career transition project are made after a pre-assessment has been carried out. The preliminary positioning is carried out free of charge by the training provider contacted with a view to following the training course. The list of documents to be sent to the regional inter-professional joint committee by the employee wishing to benefit from a professional transition project is drawn up by the minister responsible for professional training.
