Selective financial aid is awarded to support the creation and broadcasting of audiovisual works intended for initial free public distribution on digital platforms, as well as the emergence of new talent on these platforms.
Audiovisual works that are original French-language and that are intended to be made available to the public for the first time on a digital platform are eligible for support for creation and distribution on digital platforms.
The same project may not receive both aid for creation and distribution on digital platforms and other aid awarded by the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.
The granting of aid is subject to the provisions of Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty, in particular those provided for in Chapter I and Article 54 of Section 11 relating to aid schemes for audiovisual works. The decision to award support is taken after consulting the Commission for Support for Creation and Distribution on Digital Platforms, after consulting readers in accordance with the procedures set out in 1° of Article 122-5.
Grants are awarded in the form of subsidies.
