Book IV: SUPPORT FOR DIVERSITY OF CREATION AND PUBLIC PERFORMANCE

Images of Diversity grants are awarded for the creation and distribution of cinematographic, audiovisual or multimedia works that :1° Represent all immigrant populations, populations of immigrant descent and overseas populations that make up French society, and in particular those living in priority neighbourhoods for urban policy;2° Represent the current realities, history and memory, in France, of immigrant populations, populations of immigrant descent and overseas populations, as well as populations living…

The same person may not simultaneously apply for or receive more than three Diversity Images grants. Companies constituting a community of economic interests are considered to be the same person.

Images of Diversity grants are awarded to works on the basis of their artistic quality.

Aid for the writing and development of projects is only awarded for projects conceived and written entirely or mainly in French or in a regional language used in France, or for which the use of a foreign language is justified for artistic reasons relating to the screenplay.Aid for production, theatrical distribution and video publishing is only awarded for original French-language works, or for which the use of a foreign language…

With the exception of writing grants, works for which at least one of the following grants has previously been awarded are eligible for Images of Diversity grants: 1° Automatic or selective grants from the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée; 2° Grants awarded under the agreements with the local authorities mentioned in 2° of article 110-5.

The award of Diversity Images aid is subject to:1° To the provisions of Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty, in particular those provided for in Chapter I and Article 54 of Section 11 relating to aid schemes for audiovisual works ;2° The provisions of Commission Regulation (EU)…

Selective financial aid is awarded to authors for writing an elaborate version of projects for works that contribute to the objectives mentioned in article 422-2.

To be eligible for writing grants, authors must be French nationals or equivalent.
