The operations of the Banque de France and the activities referred to in the second paragraph of Article L. 142-2 are governed by civil and commercial law.

The real estate belonging to the Banque de France is subject to the provisions of the General Code on the Ownership of Public Property applicable to public establishments of the State. The movable assets belonging to the Banque de France may not be seized.

The administrative courts hear disputes relating to the internal administration of the Banque de France. It also hears disputes between the Banque de France and members of the General Council or its employees.
