The activity of medicine consists of the general or specialised care, for diagnostic, therapeutic or palliative purposes, of patients whose state of health requires care or monitoring of a medical nature, on a full or part-time inpatient basis. This activity includes, where appropriate, the performance of technical procedures for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. It includes preventive and health education activities.
Part-time hospitalisation corresponds to a period of care less than or equal to twelve hours per twenty-four hours, not requiring accommodation, for patients whose state of health is compatible with this type of care.
