TITLE II: MUNICIPAL SERVICES

The general documentation, the estimates that must be given to families and the order forms drawn up by the régies, companies, associations and their establishments, authorised in accordance with Article L. 2223-23, must comply with the provisions set out in the articles R. 2223-25 à R. 2223-30.

General documentation and quotations must include an indication of the name, legal representative and address of the operator and, where applicable, its registration number in the Trade Register or the National Register of Companies as a company in the trades and crafts sector, as well as an indication of its legal form, the authorisation it holds and, where applicable, the amount of its capital. Estimates must state the commune of the place of death, the place of committal, the funeral service, burial or cremation, and the date on which the estimates were drawn up.

Estimates must group together the operator’s supplies and services, distinguishing them from sums paid to third parties as remuneration for services provided by them and from taxes. They must indicate, where applicable, the third-party company or service that carries out the opening and closing of the funeral monument, the digging and filling of the grave.

Estimates must show the number of staff performing any of the funeral services and assigned to the convoy.

The estimates must show separately the compulsory services, which include the body bag in the case of transport before committal and, in all cases the coffin, its handles, its identity plate and its watertight bowl, excluding its interior and exterior accessories, as well as either the burial operations or the cremation operations and the cinerary urn or ashtray.
