Book V: RIGHT OF ASYLUM AND OTHER INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION

When, in the cases and under the conditions set out in article L. 531-41, the interested party intends to submit a request for reconsideration, he or she must make a new application for registration with the competent prefect.The provisions of articles R. 531-2 to R. 531-5 then apply.

The request for reconsideration must be submitted to the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons within eight days of registration.

When the application is incomplete, the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons informs the applicant, who has four days to complete it.

The French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons carries out a preliminary examination, pursuant to article L. 531-42, within eight days of the application being submitted.

When, after the preliminary examination, the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons decides to continue examining the application, it shall inform the competent prefect without delay.
