TITLE II: Traders.

Within the register, the entities listed in 1° to 6° of Article R. 123-220 are referred to as legal units. Within the register, an establishment is any place where the legal unit carries out all or part of its activities in premises for which it has availability.

The identification number allocated to each legal unit is a serial number consisting of nine digits. The identification number allocated to each establishment consists of the nine digits of the identification number of the registered legal unit carrying on business there, followed by an additional five-digit identification number specific to that establishment.

The following identification information is entered in the register: 1° For each legal unit: a) For the natural persons mentioned in article R. 123-220 : the surname and, where applicable, the used name and pseudonym, the first names, the address of the legal unit with an indication, where applicable, that it corresponds to the address of the natural person’s personal residence, the sex, nationality, date and place of birth, legal…

The National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies draws up a nomenclature of the legal categories of the various legal units registered within the register.
