Part Three: Combating disease and addiction

I.-Diseases that warrant urgent local, national or international intervention are reported to the regional health agency under the conditions set out in article R. 3113-3. II-Cases of disease requiring special surveillance for the protection of public health are reported to the National Public Health Agency under the conditions laid down in article R. 3113-4.

An order of the Minister for Health sets the list of diseases that must be reported by medical biology departments and laboratories as mentioned in articles R. 3113-3 and R. 3113-4 via the information system mentioned inarticle R. 1413-58-1.

Any person required to know, in any capacity whatsoever, information and personal data transmitted pursuant to this section is bound by professional secrecy under the penalties provided for inarticle 226-13 of the French Penal Code.

The persons who are the subject of the alerts referred to inArticle R. 3113-1 are informed by the doctors and managers of the medical biology departments and laboratories who process them of the procedures for processing their personal data and of their rights.
