The communes and their groupings may create public establishments, called communal centres and inter-communal centres for social action, to intervene in matters of social action, in compliance with locally applicable regulations. The High Commissioner lays down the operating rules of these establishments by decree.
The articles L. 2241-1, L. 2241-3, L. 2241-4, the first paragraph of Article L. 2241-5 and Article L. 2241-6 are applicable to the communes of French Polynesia.
