The distribution of this increase between the municipalities concerned is set by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.
The total amount of the flat-rate allowance for the municipalities in the overseas departments is increased in 2001 by a sum of 40 million francs, taken from the development allowance instituted in article L. 2334-13. In all communes where a first numbering operation is carried out, half of the cost of the operation, if completed before 31 December 2008, is subject to financial compensation in the form of an exceptional grant paid by the State.

In the overseas departments, the population thresholds mentioned in 1° and 2° of article L. 2334-35 are set at 35,000 inhabitants.

The provisions of Books I to IV of this Part are applicable to Mayotte under the conditions and subject to the reservations provided for in this chapter.
