Members of the Corsican sites council other than ex officio members are appointed for a three-year term. They may be reappointed.

The prefect, president of the Corsican sites council, may be represented by another member of the prefectural body in office in Corsica or, with regard to the permanent delegation mentioned in article R. 4421-5-1, by the regional director of cultural affairs or his representative. The loss of the capacity by virtue of which a member was elected or appointed entails the vacancy of the corresponding seat. Vacancies occurring more than ten months before the date of the next renewal shall be filled. New members shall serve on the Board until the date on which the term of office of those they replace would normally have expired.
