Persons residing in France who have acquired professional competence in accordance with the conditions set out in article R. 221-12 must apply for a professional licence from the Prefect of the département in which they are established. The competent authority referred to in Articles 7 and 8 of Order 2016-1809 of 22 December 2016 on the recognition of professional qualifications of regulated professions, responsible for the alert mechanism, is the Minister responsible for tourism.
