The holder of the cross-sectional imaging authorisation must ensure that the equipment exposing patients to ionising radiation has the tools required to optimise radiation protection for patients and staff.

The conditions of care and the protocols for carrying out procedures are adapted to children.

The authorisation holder is subject to the quality assurance obligation set out in I of Article L. 1333-19. The holder of the cross-sectional imaging authorisation must ensure that data from professional practices is collected and analysed with the aim of improving practices and risk management. The authorisation holder must ensure that the equipment is connected to a system for archiving, sharing and distributing examinations, including images, in order to improve the quality of radiological care and the appropriateness of the procedures performed.

The provisions of II of article D. 6124-229 do not apply to the heavy equipment mentioned in article L. 6122-14-1.
