Article R1232-10 of the French Public Health Code

Without prejudice to the provisions of article L. 1232-2 concerning minors, no organs may be removed from a deceased person over the age of thirteen for therapeutic purposes, or to investigate the cause of death, or for other scientific purposes, without the register first being asked whether the deceased person has refused to have the organs removed.

Article R1232-16 of the French Public Health Code

The Director General of the Agency will issue an acknowledgement of receipt when the dossier referred to in Article R. 1232-15 is complete and will simultaneously send this dossier to the Minister for Research.
