Book III: Medical auxiliaries, nursing auxiliaries, childcare auxiliaries, ambulance drivers and dental assistants

The State Nurse’s Diploma is awarded by the regional prefect to candidates who have completed the preparatory course for the State Nurse’s Diploma, unless dispensation is granted, and who have passed the theoretical and practical courses as well as the work placements that make up the training.

The duration of the preparatory studies for the diploma is set at three years. The conditions under which partial or total exemption from teaching may be granted are set by order of the Minister for Health.

I.-Training includes : 1° Theoretical training ; 2° Practical training ; 3° Work placements. II-The conditions for compensation for work placements and reimbursement of travel expenses related to work placements are set by order of the Minister for Health. III-The provisions of II do not apply to the students mentioned in article L. 4383-2-1.

I.-The nursing training institutes authorised to provide education leading to the State diploma are responsible for implementing the admission procedures under the supervision of the general directors of the regional health agencies. They are responsible for organising the tests and displaying the results. The composition of the examination boards and the appointment of their members are determined by the directors of the institutes in accordance with the conditions laid down…

The institutes are inspected by civil servants appointed for this purpose by the Minister for Health. For the institutes mentioned in article D. 4383-7, inspections may be carried out jointly with inspection and control officers under the authority of the armed forces health service.

The conditions for approval of the establishments, services and institutions where students carry out their placements are set by order of the Minister for Health.
