The approval referred to in Article L. 211-4 is granted when the criteria defined in the specifications are met. The specifications are drawn up by the relevant delegating federation and sent to the Minister for Sport for approval. It is amended in the same way.

The application for approval is submitted to the relevant sports federation by the sports association or company to which the training centre is attached. The federation submits applications for approval submitted in application of article L. 211-4 to the rector of the academic region in which the sports association or company has its registered office, with his opinion.
Approval is granted for a period of four years by the rector of the academic region. The approval decree is published in the prefecture’s official gazette (recueil des actes administratifs).
Approval is withdrawn if the training centre ceases to meet at least one of the criteria set out in the specifications, or for any serious reason. Approval may, however, be maintained for a period which may not exceed the remaining term of the approval and which may not be more than two years, if the professional team of the association or company to which the centre belongs no longer participates…
A new licence is granted under the same terms and conditions as those set out in articles D. 211-86 and R. 211-87. The Minister for Sport monitors the operation of approved training centres. The relevant delegated federation contributes to the proper implementation of this control by sending the Minister responsible for sport all useful documents and may also carry out any checks and assessments it deems appropriate.
