Part four: Health professions

The region is responsible for awarding grants to students enrolled in training schools approved in application of article L. 4151-7. The nature, level and conditions for awarding this aid are set by decision of the Regional Council. Students may not be required to be resident in France. A decree sets the minimum rules for the rate and scale of this assistance.

The region is responsible for the operation and equipment of the schools referred to in article L. 4151-7 when they are public. It may participate in the financing of the operation and equipment of these schools when they are private. Second and third cycle maieutics students may be authorised to carry out part of their practical training with midwives approved as university training supervisors, under conditions laid down by decree. The conditions for the approval of midwives approved as university training supervisors, which include compulsory training with the university of their choice or any other approved body, are laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.

A Conseil d’Etat decree sets the composition and operation of the commission mentioned in article L. 4151-5-1 and the conditions under which the person concerned is subject to a compensation measure.
