Chapter II: Hospital practitioners

Contract practitioners participate in continuity of care or pharmaceutical duty in conjunction with other members of the medical profession or other pharmacists in the establishment. Contractual practitioners in public health establishments maintain and improve their knowledge. They fulfil the obligation of continuing professional development defined in articles L. 4021-1 to L. 4021-8. The continuing professional development of contract practitioners recruited on a full-time basis is organised by the plan mentioned in 8° of article R. 6144-1 and as part of the territorial policy mentioned in 5° of II of article R. 6132-10-1.

The recruitment contract is an administrative contract. It is made in writing. A copy of the contract is sent without delay to the Director General of the Regional Health Agency and to the contractual practitioner concerned. The latter will immediately send a copy to his professional association.
