The medical students mentioned in article R. 6153-46 must prove, before their first assignment, by means of one or more medical certificates sent to the director of the training and research unit to which they belong, that they meet the conditions required by the regulations in force relating to the compulsory immunisation of certain persons against certain diseases.

The hospital medical students mentioned in article R. 6153-46 may not be assigned to the same training unit more than twice. The total duration of the assignment is set by order of the ministers responsible for higher education, health and defence.

The hospital medical students mentioned in article R. 6153-46 are subject to the internal regulations of the establishment to which they are assigned, which specify in particular their obligations towards patients, medical staff and the hospital administration. The university hospital centres to which they are attached, which are responsible for the remuneration of all the medical students mentioned in article R. 6153-46, pay them a salary throughout their training, with the exception of the period of study abroad and the internship carried out as an intern, as provided for in the fourth and eighth paragraphs of article R. 6153-47 respectively.

The training periods mentioned in article R. 6153-47, with the exception of the period of study abroad and the training period carried out as an intern, carried out outside the university hospital centre to which they are attached, are organised by agreements concluded in accordance with the procedures laid down by order of the ministers responsible for the budget, higher education, health and, where applicable, defence.

The provisions of articles R. 6142-4 and R. 6142-30 do not apply to the agreements relating to the organisation of hospital placements provided for in article R. 6153-60. These agreements determine their period of application and the conditions for their revision. They are periodically evaluated by the signatory parties.
