The university hospital centres to which they are attached, which are responsible for paying all the odontology hospital students mentioned in article R. 6153-63, pay them a salary throughout their training, with the exception of the period of study abroad provided for in article R. 6153-64.
The training periods mentioned in article R. 6153-64, with the exception of the study period abroad, carried out outside the hospital centre to which they are attached, are organised by agreements concluded in accordance with the procedures laid down by order of the ministers responsible for the budget, higher education, health and, where applicable, defence.
The provisions of articles R. 6142-3 and R. 6142-5 do not apply to the agreements relating to the organisation of placements provided for in article R. 6153-74. These agreements determine their period of application and the conditions for their revision. They are periodically evaluated by the signatory parties.
In order to exercise their trade union rights, which are recognised in their capacity as public servants, odontology students may set up, join and hold office in trade union organisations. Hospital pharmacy students in the second year of the second cycle of pharmaceutical studies, in advanced training, participate in hospital activities under the conditions defined by this section. Hospital pharmacy students are required to attend practical training for an average of five half-days per week over a twelve-month period. They take part in courses, tests and examinations during their university attendance time.
The hospital pharmacy students referred to in article R. 6153-77 participate in hospital activities under the responsibility of the referent provided for by order of the ministers responsible for higher education, health and, where applicable, defence, and the medical and pharmaceutical staff.
Hospital pharmacy students take part in hospital activities in the entities of the university hospital centre and public health establishments to which they are assigned and in similar structures in army hospitals. They may also be assigned to approved private health establishments linked to the university hospital centres by agreement pursuant to article L. 6142-5.
Before their first assignment, hospital pharmacy students must provide proof, in the form of one or more medical certificates sent to the director of the training and research unit to which they belong, that they meet the conditions required by the regulations in force relating to the compulsory immunisation of certain persons against certain diseases.
Hospital pharmacy students are assigned to training units by the director of the training and research unit to which they belong, on the basis of lists of available posts sent to him by each of the directors of the establishments to which the student is likely to be assigned.
