Article R6152-55 of the French Public Health Code

In the cases provided for in 2°, 4°, 6° and 8° of article R. 6152-51, the practitioner may not obtain a secondment before three years of service in his post. Only hospital practitioners appointed on a permanent basis may benefit from the secondment provided for in 5° of the aforementioned article. The request for secondment must be submitted by the practitioner at least two months in advance.

Article R6152-58 of the French Public Health Code

The secondment is granted for a maximum period of five years and may be renewed under the same conditions. Candidates appointed as university hospital practitioners, pursuant to article 82 of decree no. 2021-1645 of 13 December 2021 relating to teaching and hospital staff at university hospitals, are simultaneously appointed and established as hospital practitioners. Article R6152-61 of the French Public Health Code

At the end of their secondment and if they have not been appointed to a teaching and hospital staff corps, they are reinstated in a hospital practitioner post under the conditions provided for in 3° of article R. 6152-7. Article R6152-62 of the French Public Health Code

Hospital practitioners may be placed on standby either automatically, in the cases provided for in articles R. 6152-37 to R. 6152-39, R. 6152-42, R. 6152-50-5, R. 6152-59, R. 6152-61 and R. 6152-68, or at their request.
