New regulatory part

For the application of article L. 224-111, parts from the circular economy mean components and elements from a preparation operation with a view to their re-use for a purpose identical to that for which they were designed, within the meaning of articles L. 541-1-1 et L. 541-4-3 of the Environment Code.

The obligation set out in article L. 224-111 does not apply in the following cases: 1° When parts from the circular economy are not available within the timeframe compatible with the date or timeframe for the provision of the maintenance or repair service determined under the conditions provided for in Article L. 216-1; 2° When the medical equipment repair service cannot be implemented in compliance with maintaining the intended purpose…

In the documents and displays provided for in this section, circular economy parts are referred to as “circular economy parts”.

The trader shall communicate to the consumer who requests maintenance or repair, an offer of service enabling him to opt for the use of parts from the circular economy.
