The paediatric emergency unit referred to in 3° of R. 6123-1 is placed under the responsibility of a doctor with a qualification in paediatrics or child surgery and at least two years’ professional experience in a paediatric emergency unit.
Doctors working in the paediatric emergency unit must have a qualification in paediatrics or child surgery. However, any doctor with at least six months’ equivalent professional experience in paediatrics may also participate in the operation of the paediatric emergency unit, after registration on the duty roster validated by the doctor in charge.
