Article R6123-7 of the French Public Health Code
A health care establishment may be authorised to provide exclusive care for sick or injured children in a paediatric emergency unit mentioned in 3° of article R. 6123-1.
A health care establishment may be authorised to provide exclusive care for sick or injured children in a paediatric emergency unit mentioned in 3° of article R. 6123-1.
A health care establishment may, in view of a particular situation, be authorised to operate an emergency facility for part of the year only, provided that the arrangements for patient care by another establishment authorised to carry out the activity mentioned in 3° of article R. 6123-1 are organised within the framework of the network provided for in article R. 6123-26.
A health establishment whose emergency medicine activity is below a threshold set by order of the Minister for Health may be authorised to carry out the activity mentioned in 3° of article R. 6123-1, provided that it participates in an inter-hospital medical federation or a health cooperation grouping in order to set up a joint team with establishments authorised for the same activity and having a higher level of activity.
Without prejudice to the provisions of article R. 6123-32-9, the provisions of this section do not apply to the health establishments mentioned in the first paragraph of article L. 3211-1 and article L. 3222-1, which receive patients with mental disorders on a permanent basis.
Without prejudice to the provisions of article R. 6123-32-7, the provisions of this section do not apply to health establishments providing permanent care for pregnant women and new-born babies.
The provisions of this section do not prevent a health care establishment which is not authorised to carry out the activity mentioned in 3° of article R. 6123-1 from fulfilling its general obligations to assist and care for persons in danger who come to it and : 1° Provides immediate care to a patient who presents himself during the opening hours of his consultations and, if necessary, refers him or…
A health care establishment may only be authorised to carry out the activity mentioned in 1° of article R. 6123-1 if it also satisfies the conditions laid down in articles R. 6311-1 to R. 6311-13.
The location of the SMURs mentioned in 2° of article R. 6123-1 is determined by the regional health plan and ensures territorial coverage.
