If a binding occupational exposure limit value provided for in Article R. 4412-149 is exceeded, the employer shall stop work at the workstations concerned until measures have been implemented to ensure the protection of workers.
If an indicative occupational exposure limit value provided for in Article R. 4412-150 is exceeded, the employer shall carry out a risk assessment in order to determine appropriate prevention and protection measures.
The results of the measurements and the technical inspection reports are communicated by the employer to the occupational physician and to the social and economic committee. In the event of an incident or accident likely to lead to abnormal exposure to chemical agents which are carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction, only workers essential for carrying out repairs and other necessary work will be authorised to work in the affected area until the normal situation is restored and the causes of the abnormal exposure have been eliminated.
